Hyaluronic acid holds water. That's the whole job, and it's the one that decides how comfortable skin feels. Most creams use one form. This one uses two, at different molecular weights — a longer way of saying it holds onto more, in more than one way.
Shea butter + avocado oil
Water on its own doesn't stay. These two give the cream its weight and keep what the hyaluronic acid pulls in from leaving as fast as it arrived. Both from organic farming. Nothing exotic — just the two plant oils that have been doing this longer than the marketing has.

QUESTIONS
Do I still need sunscreen with this?
Yes — and that's the point of it having none. You pick your own sunscreen and apply as much as you actually need, instead of relying on however much happens to be mixed into a moisturizer. This goes on first, sunscreen goes on last.
How is this different from the Barrier Recovery Night Cream?
Weight, and time of day. The night cream is rich — cocoa butter, shea, plant-derived ceramides — and built to sit on skin overnight. This one is lighter, built around hyaluronic acid, and made to go under sunscreen and whatever comes after. They're not alternatives; they do different jobs at opposite ends of the day. If you want both, The Recovery Routine is the cheaper way to get there.
I'm in my thirties. Is this too much for me?
"Mature skin" is a phrase the industry uses badly. It doesn't mean old — it means skin that holds water less well than it used to, and that starts long before anyone would call it aging. If yours has changed and you've noticed, this was made for that.
What does "multi-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid" actually mean?
Hyaluronic acid comes in different molecular sizes, and they don't all behave the same way. This formula carries two of them rather than one — which is how it holds onto more water, and why the name is on the bottle.
I already use a moisturizer. Why switch?
Read the back of the one you have. If water is the first ingredient, most of what you're paying for is water — that's normal, and it's how most creams are built. On this one, water is ninth. Why is this more than a drugstore moisturizer?
